OD1100-2 - Condenser Fan Assembly Change

Overview

The condenser fan assembly used in SKOPE OD1100-2 refrigeration units has changed. The new assembly
is fitted in the same position as the old assembly, but is wired differently. Refer to the information below for
models affected, fan motor identification, part numbers, and the procedure to follow if replacing an old
assembly with a new assembly.

Models Affected

OD1100-2 refrigeration units (unit model number UB80AFD) manufactured from October 2016 are fitted with
the new assembly. The new assembly will also be supplied as a replacement spare part for the old condenser
fan assembly from March 2017.

The unit model number and manufacturing date can be found on the unit rating label, located on the top of the
refrigeration unit. The manufacturing date is included in the serial number. The first 2 numbers of the serial
number show the year of manufacture (17 = 2017), and second 2 numbers show the month of manufacture
(03 = March).

Fan Motor Identification

Refer to the fan motor manufacturer label on the fan motor to identify old and new assemblies. The old fan
assembly is a one piece EBM assembly including the fan motor, fan blade and wall ring/mounting bracket.
The new fan assembly is made up of three parts including a fan motor and a wall ring/mounting bracket
manufactured by UNADA and fan blade manufactured by AirDrive.

Spare Parts

The new assembly is made up of three parts which can be ordered individually or as an assembly.
When replacing an old assembly with a new assembly, order two complete condenser fan motor assembly kits as both motors must be replaced as a pair so that they match.
