Overview
The plug and socket that connects the LED power supply to the LED modular side or shelf light/s has been changed from white to black. This change has been made to differentiate the LED light power supply from the door switch/es, which use a white plug and socket. If the LED light power supply is mistakenly connected to a door switch and powered up, the door switch will fail and require replacement.
Cabinets Affected
Three door vertical cabinets (see models in the table below) manufactured prior to November 2016 use a white plug and socket, and cabinets manufactured from November 2016 use a black plug and socket.
The model number and manufacturing date can be found on the cabinet rating label (on the cabinet interior ceiling). The manufacturing date is included in the serial number. The first 2 numbers of the serial number show the year of manufacture (16 = 2016), and second 2 numbers show the month of manufacture (11 = November).
Spare Parts
LED light power supply spare parts supplied from November 2016 use a black plug on the output flex. When fitting the spare part to a cabinet manufactured prior to November 2016, the black plug must be connected to the existing white LED light socket on the cabinet.
