Overview
Fan spare parts for SKOPE SK Gen2 and SK Gen3 refrigeration units originally fitted with EBM fan motors have changed. The new parts will be supplied as a replacement for condenser and evaporator fan assemblies from August 2018. The new parts are fitted in the same position, but are wired differently. Note: Not all SK Gen2 and Gen3 models were originally fitted with EBM fan motors. This change only applies to models that were.
Refer to the information below for models affected, cabinet and unit model identification, fan motor identification and replacement spare part numbers. Refer to instruction sheet PRN80140 (available from SKOPE, and supplied with the replacement spare part kit) for instructions on replacing a fan motor.
Models Affected
SK units originally fitted with EBM fan motor assemblies requiring condenser or evaporator fan assembly replacement. Refer to the table below for cabinet and refrigeration unit model numbers. The cabinet model number can be found on the cabinet rating label, located in the cabinet interior. The unit model number can be found on the unit rating label, located on top of the unit.
Fan Motor Identification
Refer to the fan motor manufacturer label on the fan motor to identify old and new assemblies. The old fan assembly is a one piece EBM assembly including the fan motor, fan blade and wall ring/mounting bracket. The new fan assembly is made up of three parts including a fan motor and a wall ring/mounting bracket manufactured by UNADA and fan blade manufactured by AirDrive.
Spare Parts
Replacement fan motor assemblies are made up of three parts which can be ordered individually or as an assembly. When replacing an old assembly with a new assembly, order the complete fan motor assembly which includes all three parts, an updated wiring diagram label and an instruction sheet.
