Overview

The condenser and evaporator fan assembly for SKOPE Pegasus Horizontal refrigeration units, and the condenser fan assembly for SKOPE Pegasus Horizontal freezer units has changed. The new assemblies are fitted in the same position as the old assemblies, but are wired differently.

The new assemblies will also be supplied as a replacement for the old fan assemblies from March 2018. Refer to the information below for models affected, fan motor identification and replacement spare part numbers. Refer to instruction sheet PRN80124 (available from SKOPE, and supplied with the replacement spare part kit) for instructions on replacing an old assembly with a new assembly.

Models Affected

All Pegasus Horizontal refrigeration units manufactured from March 2018 are fitted with the new condenser and evaporator fan motor assemblies, and all Pegasus Horizontal Freezer units manufactured from March 2018 are fitted with the new condenser fan motor assembly.

The new assemblies will also be supplied as a replacement spare part for the old fan assemblies from March 2018. The unit model number and manufacturing date can be found on the unit rating label, located on the front of the refrigeration unit. The manufacturing date is included in the serial number. The first 2 numbers of the serial number show the year of manufacture (18 = 2018), and second 2 numbers show the month of manufacture (03 = March).

Fan Motor Identification

Refer to the fan motor manufacturer label on the fan motor to identify old and new assemblies. Typically, the old fan assembly is a one piece EBM assembly including the fan motor, fan blade and wall ring/mounting bracket. The new fan assembly is made up of three parts including a fan motor and a wall ring/mounting bracket manufactured by UNADA and a fan blade manufactured by AirDrive.
