Important: Power to the refrigeration cabinet must be switched off /
unplugged prior to any changes taking place.
The following instructions must be adhered to.
1. Locate the refrigeration unit electrics junction box. This is behind
the refrigeration unit cover on either the left hand or right end of
the cabinet.
2. This cabinet cover must be opened up by removing the two
screws at very bottom of cover and lifting the cover upwards and
then forwards.
3. The electrics junction box cover can then be removed by removing
the screw at the top centre of the electrics junction box lid.
4. Locate each of the following parts within the electrics junction box.
(see figure 1)
7. Remove and discard all other wires from the reversing relay and
reversing resistor. This will include the following wires
· 1st Black wire which connects between the reversing relay
to the reversing resistor.
· 2nd Black wire which connects between the reversing
resistor to fan motor capacitor.
· 1 x Brown wire that connects from terminal block to
reversing relay.
· 1 x Blue loop wire, that connects from terminal block to
reversing relay and looped to 2nd reversing relay terminal)
8. The brown phase wire from the condenser fan motor needs to be
moved across from the main phase supply terminal to the
compressor supply terminal on the terminal block. As shown
below in figures 6 & 7.
9. Refit the electrics junction box cover and then close the
refrigeration unit cover.
10. Perform all Electrical Safety tests in accordance with AS/NZS3760.
11. Test run to ensure that condenser fan rotation is correct and that
the fan switches off when compressor switches off. To check for
correct fan rotation, ensure air is being sucked into the condenser
and not blown out.
