Carel ir32 Controller Replacement

Summary

The Carel ir32 controller became obsolete in late 2011. In the event of a failure of the ir32 controller or display, there are now two retrofit kits used to replace the ir32 controller with the new ir33 controller. The kit to use depends on the model of cabinet.

Kit details

The replacement kit used is the ELZ10464-KIT-SP2 or ELZ10464-KIT-SP3. This kit replaces all ir32 DIN rail mounted controllers and includes the temperature display. The old part numbers replaced are
as follows:

• ELZ7641: Carel processor
• ELZ7643: Connection cable
• ELZ9308: Carel DIN rail mounted module

The retrofit kit consists of a new ir33 DIN rail mounted controller, a temperature display module, a cable for this module and some associated wiring.

Cabinet models

These controllers are found in a variety of freezer and older model refrigerators, including the following:

• Pegasus range (including freezer and remote versions of these models)
• Freezer range (both SKF and TMEF range)
• Ice cabinet range
