ActiveCore and SC112G - Carel S4 and S4 Evo Electronic Controller

Overview

The Carel S4 Evo electronic controller is an enhanced version of the original Carel S4 electronic controller, with some variations and additional features (see further below). SKOPE ActiveCore and SC112G chillers were originally manufactured with the original Carel S4 controller. From September 2016, SKOPE discontinued use of the S4 on these chillers in favour of the S4 Evo. The S4 Evo is now also in use on various late model SKOPE chillers, and is supplied as a spare part to replace the original S4.

Features

The S4 EVO controller is an enhanced version of the original S4, and has some variations and additional features:

• New parameter program set number in the 100 range.
• Ability to disable energy saving mode.
• Minimum temperature display of 0°C.
• Temperature display dampening.
• High and low voltage protection.
• Energy saving differential can be set to 0°C (S4 minimum setting is 1°C).
• New E2 and Err alarms.
