New Zealand's Oldest SKOPE Fridge Competition 2023

The Promoter is SKOPE Industries Limited, 57 Princess Street, Riccarton, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand (Postal Address: PO Box 1091).

1. Information and instructions about this promotion form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating in this promotion, the entrant will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and agreed to be contractually bound by them. This promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
2. This promotion is only open to New Zealand Residents aged 18 years or over.
3. The competition period runs from 24 May 2023 11.59pm to 19 July 2023 11.59pm.
4. To enter the draw, an eligible individual must enter by sending a picture of their fridge along with information about how old it is either on the Facebook post comments, as a direct message to the SKOPE Refrigeration Facebook page.
5. Winning entries must be validated by supplying a valid and legible serial number or a valid photo verifying the age of the model and validating it as a SKOPE model. If this is unable to be supplied, verified, or validated, the entry automatically becomes void.
6. There are up to two SKOPE fridges to be won, and the competition winners’ fridges will be replaced with a comparable product up to the maximum value of $6,000 NZD (inclusive of any delivery or installation related costs), or at the discretion of the Promoter.
7. Selection of the winners will be based on selection criteria, the practicality of access for replacement and availability for SKOPE promotional activity, and this will be at the full discretion of the Promoter.
8. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the claimant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a claimant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that claimant invalid.
9. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter reasonably believes may have tampered with the process or submitted an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
10. The entrant shall be subject to any applicable terms of use and the privacy policies when accessing the SKOPE website, for the purposes of the promotion, or for any other purpose. SKOPE shall not be responsible for any issues related to entrant’s access or use, or inability to access or use, SKOPE’s website.
11. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
12. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act in New Zealand (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
13. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.
14. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter requires entrants’ personal information in order to conduct this promotion. If the requested information is not provided, then the entrant cannot participate in the promotion. The Promoter will use and handle the entrants’ personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy (which can be viewed at  https://www.skope.com/skope-resources/legal/privacy-policy/). In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, by entering the draw, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the information they submit with their entry being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter’s Privacy Officer (Postal Address: PO Box 1091 Christchurch 8041 - Email: marketing@skope.com). The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the New Zealand Privacy Act, or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with.
15. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
